ViewPoint Hotel | York, ME | Alex and Matt

It's your typical modern-day love story that starts with a Canadian boy meeting an Alaskan girl in New York City over a dating app. Her company, Creative Picnic, sparked a (hungry) Matt's interest because he thought her company did in fact make "creative picnics.” Despite brief disappointment, Matt took Alex on her first picnic date and the rest is history. Three years later, during a trip to New York, Matt took Alex on another picnic at the spot of their famous date on Pier 45 and surprised her with a proposal. If that wasn't enough, he arranged for all of her family and friends to meet them for a surprise dinner at their favorite restaurant. In December of 2019, they had a crazy idea and ran off to Vegas for a romantic elopement. They managed to keep this a secret until their wedding day at the ViewPoint hotel, nearly two years later! Needless to say, this wedding was a special one! It was so exciting to watch the big reveal among family and friends; and we feel so honored to have documented such a sacred moment in Matt and Alex’s lives.
