Regatta Place | Newport RI | Brian and Genevieve Wedding
Brian and Genevieve met in the summer of 2016 as they were working together on a project at Gillette. Quickly they became friends—as Brian laughed at Genevieve's jokes and Genevieve frequently needed rides home from work. It wasn't before long that the two were spending more and more time together—walking Watson on the Esplanade in Boston, taking day trips, and exploring the city. One beautiful Fall afternoon, after a trip to Newburyport, they had "the talk." Specifically, they decided they wanted to remain friends. It was very “Mandy Moore” in “A Walk to Remember” when she makes Shane West promise not to fall in love with her. However, as many great love stories before them, that didn't last. After that conversation, they still went on many (what now can only be classified as dates) to new restaurants, to hockey games, and to wine classes. In January of 2017, they officially signed their conflict of interest forms at work; and they officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. They fell hard and fast, because they knew that they had something special. Soon they were planning activities and trips that were years out—without a doubt in their mind about what their future held. In June of 2019, Brian proposed to Genevieve on the Esplanade, right back where everything started, with Watson by his side. A year later, they tied the knot with close family and friends at the elegant Regatta Place in Rhode Island.
